Dementia Care

At Seaview Residential Home we offer dementia care to our residents, as a part of this care we put every individual at the heart of their care. Dementia is a general term used to described an impaired ability to remember think or make decisions that interferes with doing everyday activities. This can make moving into a care home challenging as it is a change from the norm. We do everything to make this change as stress free as possible.

Seaview Residential Home aim is for every resident to receive a personalised experience to their needs, wishes and preference. We use family and friends to learn as much as we can about our residents. This allows us to create a safe environment for our residents whilst still providing the best possible memory care.

We encourage residents to bring belongings in from home to help them feel more at home, we already provide a calm, spacious environment. This is known to help residents with Dementia to feel comfortable and avoid unnecessary confusion. Every resident has a memory box outside of there room to help the individual to identify which room they live in which helps them feel comfortable and secure, being able to treat there room as there own personal space.
